Venues NSW is a commerically focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium as well as major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts in Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle and Wollongong. The network of stadiums and entertainment centres host in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy.
 
Venues NSW takes an intergrated approach to our stadia and entertainment centres by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies and community groups. Our network throughout NSW allows us to combine internal resources and harness a vast employee skillset all of which helps us deliver key projects and secure outstanding content.
 

ABOUT THE ROLE

Venues NSW was formed in December 2020 and is a commercially focused arm of the NSW Government. We collaborate closely with Destination NSW, major sporting codes and promoters to excite and entertain the people of NSW with a rich and varied calendar of major events. This role is based at the Accor Stadium.

This role sits within our pivotal Grounds team, who are responsible for preparation, maintenance and upkeep of the Accor Stadium and CommBank Stadium's playing fields and the surrounding landscaped areas for sporting and other events.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will assist the Curator and Grounds Team with the preparation and maintenance of the playing fields to meet all hirers expectations and guidelines. 

Ideal applicants for the role should be able to demonstrate the following criteria in their application: 

  • Qualifications in Sports Turf Management, Greenkeeping or related field 
  • Experience in wicket preparation and maintenance 
  • At least 2 years’ experience in preparation of playing surfaces 
  • Current Chemcert Spraying Licence
