Venues NSW is a commerically focused agency of the NSW Government, encompassing the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium as well as major sporting and cultural stadiums and precincts in Sydney, Olympic Park, Parramatta, Newcastle and Wollongong. The network of stadiums and entertainment centres host in excess of 5 million people a year at more than 500 events and is a key contributor to the economy.
 
Venues NSW takes an intergrated approach to our stadia and entertainment centres by developing partnerships with sporting codes, the entertainment and event industry, audiences, local businesses, NSW Government agencies and community groups. Our network throughout NSW allows us to combine internal resources and harness a vast employee skillset all of which helps us deliver key projects and secure outstanding content.
 

ABOUT THE ROLE 

Venues NSW was formed in December 2020 and is a commercially focused arm of the NSW Government. Our ambition is to create extraordinary live experiences and destinations. We collaborate closely with other NSW Government agencies, major sporting codes and promoters to excite and entertain the people of NSW with a rich and varied calendar of major events. This role is based at the Moore Park headquarters of Venues NSW located at Allianz Stadium.

Reporting to the Manager, Precinct and Event Security Services, the Security Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day security operations of the Sydney Cricket Ground and Allianz Stadium. The Security Coordinator is a pivotal player in the Venues NSW Security Team, responsible for leading a security team and holding them accountable on shift, taking ownership of the security operations on shift, you will also lead the provision of control room, patrols, inspections and first aid response; as well as emergency and incident management. You will provide advice and direction during daily operations and as part of a response, act as a chief warden when on shift on business as usual and event days. 

ABOUT YOU

You will demonstrate effective problem-solving skills, high level of detail and the ability to work collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Minimum 3-year experience in Security Operations and managing a team
  • Certificate II and III in Security Operations
  • Current NSW Security License Class 1ACE 
  • Unrestricted NSW Drivers licence
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA)
  • Working knowledge of the following Microsoft Computer packages: - 
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook 
  • High standard in report writing and communication skills

The role is 24-7 and works on a rotating roster over 7 days.
