Vocus is looking for a Senior RF Engineer to join our Engineering team in Melbourne, providing fixed and wireless engineering solutions for existing and new communication networks.
As a Senior RF Engineer, you will take a vital part in planning, design and implementation of the solution from design to commissioning.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible on RF solutions design and consultation for mobile radio and microwave PTP and PtMP systems 
  • Designing, optimizing and maintaining radio networks including 4G/5G radio, power, earthing, RF propagation analysis and backhaul design.
  • Responsible for monitoring overall performance, capacity and reliability of the solutions, including fault troubleshooting and maintenance.
  • Conducting site surveys and system audits to review potential risks and infrastructure issues
  • End-to-end responsibility leading project deployment from design through commissioning and implementation, by gathering requirements and preparing high level and low level designs

Skills:

  • To be computer literate with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical/electronic engineering, or communications systems engineering or similar discipline.
  • At least 3 years experience in design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of LTE equipment
  • Proven experience using RF drive test solution (such as TEMS or Nemo)
  • Experience with RF Planning Software: ATDI HTZ and Cambium Link Planning Software
  • Experience providing RF system technical support.
